Interpreting online in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex (consecutive and simultaneous)
In the spring of 2020, translators moved online and, byand large, stayed there.
I workin Zoom and Webex (conference and consecutive interpretation) and in Microsoft Teams (consecutive interpretation).

Interpreting online is not as simple as it may seem at first glance.
It requires from the translator:
- a stable Internet connection,
- at least 2 headsets (ones pare),
- a quiet room,
- more thorough preparation and interaction with the client,
- a more careful selection of a partner who fulfills all these requirements.
It is also a greater load for translators’ ears and brains, so the maximum amount of online work per day is no more than 4 hours (in pairs).
